Why is it Imperative for Nigeria to Set-up a System that Sees its Students Get High Standard of Education?

In view of the fact that schools are not efficient here in Nigeria, and many of our teachers are not thoroughly trained to imbibe high academic excellence to students, what are the consequences of the poor standard of the education system?

The less thorough education system students are exposed to is a cause of serious concern. Students are humans and humans are driven by their higher intellectual capacity as they possess the brain.

The brain functions by absorbing information from the environment where it exists, and it stores the information in a massive storage memory, it then uses the information to solve problems.

If the brain is exposed to quality information it gets quality, but if it is exposed to mediocre and shallow knowledge it becomes poor in functioning and it assumes the duty of control. Its control is haphazard without well structured high quality of knowledge.

For it strives to become perfect and practice makes perfect, so when the brain is subjected to rigorously structured knowledge, it becomes capable of solving its problems informedly.

Now when the brain is not well educated, it does not perform well and it cannot help itself. Environmental elements exterminate it for it is awkward and blunders; hence, it is not smart enough to survive, it gets exterminated.

Nature builds toward perfection and the misfit, the poor to adapt get extinct. So Nigerians have only one option ―to survive, to get smart, and be quick to adapt to a high standard school system.

Well, if we would not, nature is already dealing with us, and its disastrous consequences would worsen the more the less well education we get. We are only grateful that other nations are pitching in some help as we all are the same human family.

However they are becoming more and more impatient in nudging the people of Nigeria to wake up and save themselves, we are already facing population explosion, human-caused disasters, depletion of fresh water reserve, pollution in our atmosphere, increasing in health deterioration, climatic upheaval, erosion and landslide, increasing desert encroachment and bundle of both man-made and natural catastrophes.

In two decades more, and if serious and drastic changes do not occur, there would be serious consequential events that would cause many damages on intelligent life in this part of the world from nature. The population would have spiraled out of control, perhaps, about 350 million —starvation would be fully prevalent.

Poverty level would increase to a much more alarming rate. Social problems caused by the increased poverty level would make life even more difficult than it is presently.

However, a well-structured system of high standard education can put a stop to this hopeless future we may face. That is why the new generation idea community organization is ardently focused on bringing to life the idea of high effective education of Nigerian students.

It is now very important for Nigerians to work to actualize high-quality education standard in view of the terrible consequences ahead if nothing is done about it. So let us all come together to make Nigerian education high quality.
